Chicken Noodles and a Breakdown

Yesterday was rainy and gloomy.  Hubby was outside on the farm all day, so I thought a big bowl of chicken noodle soup would be a perfectly warming dinner.  So, I made him and the kids a big pot from scratch.  Pretty proud of myself and I think they liked it (at least I hope because they are having leftovers tonight). 

Ingredients: onions, carrots, celery, chicken, homemade chicken stock, sage, thyme, parsley, turmeric, and some fresh egg noodles.

I, on the other hand, was going to have a big veggie/fruit smoothie, but my blender (which was on its last leg) decided to break. So, I opted for a bowl of steamed kale with feta.

After dinner, I made a run to the store, and purchased a Ninja Pulse. It juices, blends, and processes!

Looking forward to some steamed kale and a veggie smoothie for dinner! Got to love new kitchen gadgets.
