So it’s been about a week since I started the wheat grass shooters. I am getting use to them believe it or not. I started this Monday making green juice in the morning for breakfast. So far my recipe is:
2 handfuls of Kale
1 handful of Spinach
1/4 of a lemon
It is a beautiful shamrock green and it actually doesn’t taste bad. I thought it was going to taste like a weed, but it’s surprisingly refreshing. I think it’s the lemon. I made T some fresh orange juice yesterday (only took me an hour). She wouldn’t drink it, said it wasn’t sweet. Ugh, the sugar bug has already made its imprint on my 9-year-old. I’ll keep trying. She did like the apple strawberry juice I made her. Baby steps.
I’m curious to see what the scales will say on Monday. Trying to decide what to eat for dinner. Maybe beans, some spinach, and some farmer’s market no sugar added tomato sauce.
